Executive Secretary of Georgian Dream – Oppositional candidates are covertly working on mobilization of voters
Irakli Kobakhidze, Executive Secretary of Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia Party said that oppositional candidates are covertly and actively working on mobilization of voters.
According to Kobakhidze, much activity is detected in Tbilisi, activists of oppositional parties are calling on voters for going to elections.
“The voter turnout is low that is characteristic to the second round. Under low voter turnout, they hope that they will reach certain success, though this success has no perspective,” Kobakidze said.
The second round of 2020 parliamentary elections is ongoing in Georgia. However, the opposition boycotted participation in the second rounds due to the alleged voter fraud in the first round, and left the candidates of the ruling Georgian Dream Party alone in the run-off elections.
