Ex-President Saakashvili urges for unity

New methods, as well as adaptability, promptness, and determination, are needed now. I am still a Ukrainian politician, a citizen, and a supporter of Georgia, former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili posted on social media.

Saakashvili wrote unity is the most important thing now.

“Those five were recruited in the same manner that happened with opposition members in Ukraine during Yanukovych’s tenure. This is a classic oligarchic work. The truth is that none of them belonged to the United National Movement. I am pleased that the United National Movement is quite active. The most critical thing now is maximal unity, forgetting all old annoyances in the face of grave risk – the danger of Georgian statehood disappearing. I’m delighted that some interesting young people have emerged. New methods, as well as adaptability, promptness, and determination, are required. You must continue to hit this wall until it collapses. I am still a Ukrainian politician, a citizen, and a supporter of Georgia. My primary task is the victory of Ukraine and, of course, together with Ukraine, the victory of Georgia,” the ex-president said.
