Former Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili stressed the need for a fresh legitimization of the government in an interview with Azerbaijani reporter Eynulla Fatullayev.

Ex-President said he wished for government change, not via revolution but by snap elections.

Alluding to the People’s Power-tabled draft laws on Transparency of Foreign Influence, Margvelashvili explained that those laws lustrated this government was pro-Russian.

“There should be a new legitimization of the government through elections. There is no other form of legitimization of a political party or a political leader in a democratic society, otherwise there would be perpetual tension,” Margvelashvili stated.
