The first semi-final of Eurovision 2025 will commence tonight at 11 p.m. Tbilisi time. Fifteen countries will perform live in front of the audience: Iceland, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Ukraine, Sweden, Portugal, Norway, Belgium, Italy, Azerbaijan, San Marino, Albania, the Netherlands, Croatia, and Cyprus. Only ten of these will advance to the grand final.
Additionally, two of the “Big Five”—Italy and Spain—will perform, along with the host country, Switzerland.
Georgia’s representative, Mariam Shengelia, will perform as number 10 in the second semi-final on May 15.
This year’s Eurovision will be hosted in Basel, Switzerland. As always, GPB First Channel will broadcast the event live, and it will also be accessible on 1TVPLAY.
Per contest rules, viewers cannot vote for their own country.
The 2025 contest will feature three hosts: Hazel Brugger and Michelle Hunziker will present the semi-finals on May 13 and May 15, while Sandra Studer will join them for the final.
Seventy-seven countries will participate in Eurovision 2025, held at the St. Jakobshalle arena, which can host over 12,000 spectators.
