EUROCONTROL: Georgian airports set historic flight record with 306 takeoffs and landings

A total of 306 arrivals and departures were recorded at Georgia’s airports on August 9, marking a new all-time daily record, according to the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL).

The new figure is 4.8% higher than the previous record of 292 arrivals and departures, set on July 26 this year.

According to EUROCONTROL, six new records were set across Europe’s aviation network last week, including the new record at Georgia’s airports.

The growing volume of air traffic in Georgian airspace is safely, efficiently and orderly managed by the Air Traffic Control Service of Sakaeronavigatsia LLC.
