EU mission positively assessed Georgia's progress in agricultural sector
The EU evaluators’ mission has positively assessed the progress in Georgia’s agricultural sector, the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture reported.
The agency stated that Nino Thandilashvili, the First Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, met with the EU evaluators’ mission.
“Representatives of the European Union monitored the implementation of the 2023 commitments under the fourth phase of the European Neighborhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD), which includes food safety and rural development components.
The evaluators positively assessed Georgia’s fulfilment of its obligations and reviewed the progress and results in the agricultural sector favourably. The EU representatives shared important recommendations with the Georgian side regarding agriculture and rural development on the path to EU membership.
