“If someone truly and genuinely wants to submit a resignation and is not occupied with deceiving their own voters, they well know parliament’s address, email, and the procedure,” Levan Makhashvili, the Chair of the Parliamentary European Integration Committee, stated while commenting on opposition representatives’ statements about renouncing mandates on the GPB First Channel.

According to his assessment, discussions from the opposition about list withdrawal and quitting mandates have already become unserious.

“These discussions have become unserious. In reality, the procedure is very simple. If someone truly and genuinely wants to submit a resignation and is not occupied with deceiving their own voters, they know the parliament’s address, email, and the procedure, which is simple. They should write a single piece of paper statement addressed to the Parliament Speaker, and subsequently, parliament will individually review their applications,” Levan Makhashvili said.
