EU Integration Committee Chair: Some hot heads play war, high time for them to grow up, take responsibility for state
“Some hot heads play war. It is high time for them to grow up and take responsibility for the state. This is not a computer game, but the state and the people. Any politician or individual making a public statement should be responsible for people’s peaceful development,” said Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the parliamentary EU Integration Committee.
According to Makhashvili, these people should quit playing war, attempt to attack the state and abandon plotting provocations.
“We remember the start of the war in Ukraine. These hot heads urged the government to engage in a military provocation with Russia. We heard statements urging the country to take the right side. We hear the same statements today regarding the consequences of ongoing processes in Iran, that this is a historic moment to decide which side of history we should take.
History repeats itself. Just as they were pushing the country towards what it was four years ago, they are doing the same thing today. These people have not learnt their lesson: to listen to people, the West, instead of the North. They should listen to people and their demands. Instead of holding meetings in a room like a criminal community or Don Corleone, let them visit the regions.
People learnt who is responsible and who is irresponsible. These politicians act as if nothing has happened. They teach the government to be smart from a moral pedestal. History already calls everything by its name,” he said.
