EU Integration Committee Chair: Opposition’s mandate remarks are political talks, misleading voters

“We will wait for the opposition to act collectively on the issue of mandates before addressing their decisions individually,” said Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the Parliament’s European Integration Committee.

According to Makhashvili, not all opposition parties are currently willing to submit written statements, only political statements are made.

“We will observe the opposition’s collective actions and then consider their decisions individually. As of now, we have not taken a definitive position. It is evident that some opposition parties are more focused on making political statements than taking concrete steps. We have witnessed various dramatic scenarios—attempts to mislead voters or create confusion. We will carefully evaluate the situation and make the best possible decision,” Makhashvili stated.
