EU Integration Committee Chair: Local elections in October to reveal public support

“The parliamentary elections have concluded, and local elections are scheduled for October. This will allow the population to assess the qualities and level of support for our leaders,” stated Levan Makhashvili, the European Integration Committee Chair.

He emphasized that the sooner the opposition engages in normal political processes, the better it will be for their prospects.

“The parliamentary elections have passed, and the opposition needs to return to regular procedures as soon as possible. If they still wish to discuss elections, local elections will take place in October, providing an opportunity for the public to evaluate the performance and support of their representatives,” Makhashvili remarked.
