The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Levan Makhashvili, together with the OSCE PA President, Pere Joan Pons Sampietro, and the accompanying delegation, visited the occupation line in the village of Khurvaleti.

Levan Makhashvili briefed the members of the OSCE PA delegation on the ongoing occupation of Georgia’s regions by the Russian Federation and its negative consequences, the problems faced by the local population, as well as the security challenges and threats related to the occupation for Georgia.

The OSCE PA delegation is led by its President, Pere Joan Pons Sampietro. The delegation also includes Vice-President of the OSCE PA and Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Luis Graça; Deputy Chair of the Committee on Political Affairs and Security, Jevrosima Pejović; Deputy Chair of the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions, Christine Blower; and OSCE PA Secretary General, Roberto Montella.
