EU condemns Russia’s continued illegal military presence in Georgia’s territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia,  Josep Borrell, the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, wrote on Twitter in connection with the 14th anniversary of the 2008 Russia-Georgia war.

“14 years since the August 2008 Russia-Georgia war, the EU condemns Russia’s continued illegal military presence in Georgia’s territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. EU stands by Georgia, its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and supports conflict resolution,” Josep Borrell tweeted.
