EU Ambassador: My wish came true, Georgia starts 2024 as an EU candidate country

“New Year and Christmas is the time when, starting from childhood, we all make wishes and expect them to come true. My personal New Year’s wish did come true and Georgia starts 2024 as an EU candidate country!,” said EU Ambassador to Georgia, Paweł Herczyński, in his festive video address released by the EU Delegation in Georgia.

My personal New Year’s wish did come true and Georgia starts 2024 as an EU candidate country! During my time as the EU Ambassador, I have not met a single Georgian who did not have the same wish. So let’s celebrate the New Year and Christmas with this historical achievement by Georgia, Bednier Shoba-Axal Tsels Gisurvebt! (Happy New Year and Merry Christmas), he said.

The EU Delegation to Georgia also released a video where Ambassadors of EU countries and EU4Georgia communication team wishes Happy New Year and Merry Christmas to the Georgian people.
