EU Ambassador: I sincerely hope cooperation with new PM will be as successful as his predecessor
EU Ambassador to Georgia Paweł Herczyński on Friday said the EU is monitoring “very closely” the governmental reshuffle.
Herczyński hoped that the cooperation with the new PM would be “as successful as his predecessor.”
“We are monitoring very closely the governmental reshuffle. I understand that Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze has been only nominated to become the next prime minister and the decision will be taken by the parliament the next week.
We are awaiting a formal nomination by the parliament, as I have already said, as the European Union, we are ready to work with every Georgian government, with every prime minister. We had a very successful relationship with the previous prime minister and outgoing government.
I sincerely hope that our cooperation with the next Georgian government headed by Prime Minister Kobakhidze will be at least as successful as his predecessor,” the EU Ambassador stated.
