EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell is “looking forward to seeing how the sides would be able to come out, hopefully together around the necessary compromises in order to move forward on this very crucial commitment as we know the 19 April agreement.”

“There are two drafts on the table. It is gonna be important that different political parties are conducting continuous discussions about what type of amnesty law they would like to see. To me, it is too early to say where they are going to land but I think there are both commonalities between these laws and some divergencies,” Hartzell underscored.

EU Ambassador hopes the United National Movement (UNM) opposition party would enter the parliament and participate in many important discussions.

“I think it is very important in order to give further strength to the agreement and make sure that this agreement really opens a new chapter from crises and the streets going into parliament, I think this is very important,” EU Ambassador said.
