EU Accession Questionnaire to be filled in by May and effectively, PM vows
Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said that he personally coordinates the process to fill in the EU Accession Questionnaire in due time and effectively. He said the document required by the European Union would have been ready by May.
“We have positive expectation. There are no problematic issues. The questions concern state arrangement, development, reforms and progress that Georgia made and aspires at. The government, parliament, all governmental branches and involved in this process,” PM told journalists.
The government made public the EU Accession Questionnaire required by the European Commission to release its Opinion on granting the EU candidate status to Georgia on April 15. The followed the 62nd session of the government commission on EU Integration of Georgia headed by Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili.
Oliver Varhelyi, the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, handed over the EU membership questionnaire to the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili in Luxembourg on April 11.
