Eric Trump: Trump Tower Tbilisi will put Georgia on the world stage and continue my father’s legacy

The Trump Organization’s Executive Vice President, Eric Trump, addressed the official international presentation event for Trump Tower Tbilisi via video link, emphasising the project’s transformative economic and architectural impact on Georgia.

“First of all, it’s going to bring the eyes of the entire world to Georgia. I think that’s incredibly important. Whenever we build a building, we make a lot of noise. I woke up at four o’clock this morning, and I’ve done interviews every minute since. My voice is practically raw. The amount of attention we are going to bring to Tbilisi and to the country is going to be amazing, and that’s what we’ve always done. As probably the most famous brand in the world, and certainly the number one real estate brand, whenever we come to a location, others follow,” Eric Trump stated, speaking on the global visibility the development brings.

As Eric Trump stated during a video link at the official international event for Trump Tower in Tbilisi, when Trump Tower enters Tbilisi, the city will become more noticeable.

“You’re going to see development standards redefined because that’s what we do every single time we build. We redefine standards in the local area in terms of fit, finish, quality, height, location, amenity packages, and service. This project is going to put Georgia on the map in a very big way regarding international development and investment. A lot of brands will follow us into the country.

Trump Tower overlooks Central Park in New York, one of the most famous Central Parks in the world, and it’s roughly 65 stories tall. Now we are looking at Central Park in Tbilisi, and it is also 65 stories tall. Trump Tower in New York has truly been one of the most successful and lucky buildings ever constructed on the globe, and I know that will be the case here. We’re excited to be on another Central Park. It brings Trump Tower full circle to its roots when my father built that building years ago. The name is great, the building is fantastic, and this team is incredible. This project will remain exciting for many years to come,” Eric Trump added.

Touching on Georgia’s economic performance and cultural environment, Eric Trump pointed to the country’s rapid GDP growth and favourable climate for high-end developments.

As Eric Trump noted, Georgia’s economy is growing faster than any other country in Europe, and he is glad that the project will be implemented in Georgia, where people care about each other.

“First of all, thank you to the entire team. This all started at Mar-a-Lago when they came to Florida, and we started talking about a project. Georgia is an incredible country; the Georgian people love the United States, and the United States loves the Georgian people.

Looking at the economy, it is growing at a 10 per cent GDP rate each and every year, faster than just about any other country in Europe and most countries in the world. When you consider the cultural and transportation aspects of Georgia, its status as a crossroads, and the natural beauty of the city, we knew we wanted to be there. We turn down 99 per cent of the projects presented to us because we only want the greatest icons in the world. At the Trump Organization, we build the best, most prestigious buildings anywhere, with top-tier hospitality and layouts. My father did it, I’ve done it, and location is everything.

Location is absolutely everything. We have the best location in Tbilisi, in one of the most gorgeous cities anywhere in the world. We are partnered with the right people, and we are going to deliver something unbelievable. I am so excited to see this tower rise out of the ground and to spend a tremendous amount of time in the Republic of Georgia with people I really care about and like. We are going to do something incredible that will redefine the skyline of Georgia for centuries to come.

I am going to put every bit of my heart, soul, and passion into this project and this building. Larry, Ron, Mike, our entire development team, as well as countless people in the United States, are going to put every bit of their heart and soul into making this the best building ever. This isn’t just about being the best in Georgia or in Tbilisi. Georgia sits at the intersection of Europe and Asia, and I want this to be the best building in Europe and the best building in Asia. I want it to redefine a skyline and do something truly incredible. What we are going to deliver is something I am incredibly proud of. I am truly excited about this project with every ounce of my heart and soul. I cannot wait to be there with you, and I cannot wait to bring an amazing project to life,” Eric Trump went on to say.

The Executive Vice President also outlined the scale of the USD 2 billion investment and commended the local leadership and business partners involved:

“I will be coming very soon, certainly for the groundbreaking, and many times after that. Larry touched on it when he was on stage, but there isn’t an attic in any of our buildings that I don’t know, nor a floor plan or amenity package that I am not familiar with. I am very hands-on and get involved in the smallest details. I care about the layouts, the amenities, and the things that really matter. We are developers at our core, and while we have one of the great brands in the world, real estate is at our heart.

There is nothing we love more than redefining cities and skylines and bringing incredible masterpieces out of the ground. I am going to be extremely hands-on. This will be a great passion for me, and I look forward to being there many times.

It really helps when you love the project and the people you are working with. Ilya is truly one of the great individuals you will ever meet, as are Levan and Lasha. It is a lot of fun when you enjoy the people you work with; you want to spend time with them and accomplish great things together. The vision that Archi Group and Alex Sapir bring to the table, with whom we built Trump SoHo in New York, matched ours within five minutes of meeting.

We knew they were the right people with the right spirit, attitude, and drive. They were not afraid of going big or tackling colossal projects. Looking at the size of this downtown project – two billion U.S. dollars – you are really defining and changing a skyline forever.

I am going to be in Georgia a lot, and I cannot wait. Some of the warmest, kindest people in the world are the many Georgians living in America; I have never met one I did not absolutely love. The way the country has embraced the United States is amazing, and there is tremendous love between the two nations. I know we are going to do something really special here. I hope I show up so often that you get sick of me; that is my goal. I will be there with great spirit,” Eric Trump promised.

Concluding his address, Eric Trump expressed gratitude to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili.

“To the Prime Minister and the Economic Minister, thank you very much for your kind words. You have done an unbelievable job. The economic performance speaks for itself—any country achieving 10 per cent annual GDP growth is doing something extraordinarily right and deserves commendation. Congratulations on all of Georgia’s success, congratulations to our great team on this building, and we are going to make this country incredibly proud,” Eric Trump has concluded.
