Environmental Agency warns of heavy rain and storms in Western Georgia

The National Environmental Agency has issued a warning about expected weather conditions in Georgia.

According to forecasters, rain is expected across western Georgia on October 20, including heavy rainfall in some areas, accompanied by possible thunderstorms and strong winds.

“The expected precipitation may cause flash floods on small rivers in western Georgia and could trigger the onset or activation of landslides and mudflows in hilly and mountainous areas (low threat level),” the Agency stated.
