Minister of Environment and Agriculture David Songhulashvili met with the Ambassador of France to Georgia, Olivier Courteau, the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture reported.
According to the ministry, the meeting focused on current issues of bilateral relations and prospects for future cooperation.
Songhulashvili highlighted the importance of reforms carried out in the environmental and agricultural sectors, stressing the need to share France’s experience in water resource management and disaster risk reduction.
Discussions also covered food security, the introduction of modern technologies in agriculture, knowledge exchange, export growth, irrigation, and strengthening laboratory capacities. The Minister additionally emphasized the significance of introducing regulations on the use of single-use plastics in contact with food.
