The Emergency Situations Management Service of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has deployed its personnel to the disaster-stricken areas in the Guria and Ajara regions, where they are actively engaged in conducting necessary measures to address the situation.

Rescuers are conducting a search and rescue operation for three missing individuals, including two minors, in various villages in Guria.

“Public Management Center 112 received over 100 notifications regarding the heavy rainfall consequences. Due to the heavy rainfall, residential houses and agricultural lands have been flooded, trees uprooted, and landslides have occurred. Several villages in the Guria region are currently isolated.

Emergency response teams are fully engaged in response efforts, including search and rescue operations for three missing individuals, including two minors,” Emergency Situations Management states.
