The electricity tax exemption applies to 1,200,000 customers and the natural gas tax to 650,000 customers, the Government Administration told Georgian First Channel.
Earlier today, the government of Georgia has decided to fund utility bills for the next 3 months (March, April, May), Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia announced at today’s session of the Interagency Coordination Council on the coronavirus.
According to the decision, each citizen who uses less than 200 kWh of electricity and 200 cubic meters of natural gas per month, will be funded for the next three month. Funding includes cleaning service and water bills.
