Education Ministry determines price of school uniforms

Georgian Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Affairs determined the price of school uniforms for primary-level pupils of public schools.

According to the Education Ministry, the price of a school jacket will be 45 GEL, while the price for trousers and a skirt will be 25 GEL.

Wearing uniforms for pupils of the primary level will become compulsory in the 2026-2027 academic years that will contribute to an equal, healthy and organized learning atmosphere in schools and the reduction of social differences among pupils.

The agreement signed by the Ministry of Education with Glory Textile Industry LLC company envisages providing 1 801 000 uniforms.

At the decision of Georgia’s Prime Minister, all families assessed by the Ministry of Health with a score of 60,000 points or less will receive appropriate support from the state regarding uniforms.
