Education Minister says pupils from socially vulnerable families to receive school uniforms for free
“A market survey is launched to identify the lowest price for further ordering and procurement of school uniforms,” said Georgian Minister of Education Givi Mikanadze.
According to the Minister, a large group worked on the design. The decision aims to contribute to creating a learning-oriented atmosphere and reducing social and economic disparities among school students.
“Educational Resources Ltd is operating under the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia,which will ensure the purchase and sale of school uniforms for the primary school level starting from the next academic year.
In addition, at the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, pupils from socially vulnerable families who are evaluated as having less than 60, 000 points, will receive school uniforms for free,” he said.
The Ministry of Education launched a market survey for the purchase of primary school uniforms ahead of the 2026–2027 academic year. The designs are revealed.
