Education Minister meets WB Regional Director

Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, met with Rolande Pryce, the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus.

According to the Ministry, the discussion focused on ongoing joint initiatives and prospects for expanding cooperation.

Mikanadze highlighted the long-standing and productive partnership between Georgia and the World Bank, noting that large-scale projects have already contributed significantly to the development of the country’s education system.

The meeting reviewed progress on two major initiatives: the Georgia Human Capital Program and the Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Project (Georgia I2Q). Particular attention was given to the new Higher Education Concept, developed by the Government Commission on Higher Education, which aims to better align graduates’ skills with labor market demands.
