Education Minister meets Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports

As part of his working visit to Ankara, Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye, Osman Aşkın Bak.

The parties emphasised the longstanding friendly relations between Georgia and Türkiye and highlighted the importance of deepening co-operation in youth affairs.

According to the Ministry of Education of Georgia, discussions focused on organising joint summer camps, expanding linkages between youth centres, and establishing collaborative youth grant competitions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to implementing joint projects. The parties also agreed to actively support initiatives that foster closer ties and facilitate the exchange of experience between the youth of both nations.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Zviad Gabisonia, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Türkiye, Archil Kalandia.
