Georgian Minister of Education and Science, Mikheil Chkhenkeli met EU Ambassador to Georgia, Pawel Herczynski.
The Minister and the Ambassador discussed current and future cooperation aspects accentuating on Horizon Europe program that allows Georgian scientists and researchers to participate in scientific and innovations competitions of the EU member states.
The Minister spoke about Georgia’s full-fledged membership of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) funding organization.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli informed the ambassador about the idea and concept of the Kutaisi International University and different academic programs gradually introduced at the university. In his turn, the EU Ambassador hailed the foundation of the new university and described the mega-project as “impressive.”
The sides also touched upon the internalization of professional education stressing on Erasmus + program and pledged intensification of cooperation.
