Georgian Education Minister Giorgi Amilakhvari on Friday explained the government’s recent move to exempt the debts of students whose student status has been suspended due to financial constraints preventing them from affording tuition fees.
Amilakhvari stated that the initiative would apply to those students whose status is suspended and not terminated.
According to PM Garibashvili, the total amount of student debt to be forgiven hit 40 million GEL.
