Economy Minister: Special attention was paid to Anaklia Port during Kazakhstan visit
Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said that strengthening relations with Kazakhstan is of strategic importance for Georgia.
Kvrivishvili made the remarks during an official visit to Kazakhstan alongside Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to the minister, the visit included several high-level bilateral meetings, where the parties discussed the importance of close cooperation not only for the two countries, but also for the wider region, particularly in the context of the Middle Corridor.
“During the visit, we held a number of important bilateral high-level meetings, where we discussed how important close cooperation between Kazakhstan and Georgia is not only for our two countries, but also for other countries in the region, especially in the context of the Middle Corridor,” she said.
Kvrivishvili also highlighted the importance of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port as one of the key topics discussed during the meetings.
“I want to emphasize that special attention was paid during the visit to the importance of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port not only for Georgia, but also for the countries of the Middle Corridor. We discussed how significant its operation will be for our region and the broader Middle Corridor,” she added.
