Economy Minister meets Chinese Ambassador

Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, met with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Georgia, Zhou Qian, according to the Ministry of Economy.

The meeting focused on trade and economic relations between the two countries and prospects for further development.

During the talks, the minister highlighted the growing dynamics of bilateral trade and noted that China is one of Georgia’s largest trading partners. Special attention was also given to the importance of the Middle Corridor as a strategic transit route.

The discussion also covered Kvrivishvili’s recent visit to China, where both sides emphasized progress achieved and future cooperation opportunities.

Particular attention was paid to the planned comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Georgia and China, which is expected to further strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

The meeting also addressed the expansion of cooperation in the civil aviation and tourism sectors.
