Droa party leads protest against Russian plane

Organized by the opposition Droa party, Georgian citizens, heading for the Tbilisi International Airport by cars, will protest the landing of the Russian plane of Azimuth Airline, which will carry out the first flight today following the resumption of direct flights between Russia and Georgia.

The procession participants claim that Russian planes are not welcomed in Georgia and that the resumption of flights is not their will.

“Resumption of direct flight with terrorist state Russia, when the entire world isolates and distances from Russia, is immoral. This is a direct attack on our sovereignty. We are obliged to host the first flight with protest and reach the disapproval voice to Russia, Ukraine, and our partners, for them to know that this is not an ordinary event for us,” said Droa leader Elene Khoshtaria.
