A mudslide in Adigeni municipality has left a trail of destruction, impacting residents.
According to a report from GPB First Channel, seven families in the village of Gomaro have been affected. Heavy rains caused a powerful mudslide that damaged or destroyed homes and yards. One residence was almost entirely buried under a torrent of mud. Inside, furniture, appliances, and household belongings were wrecked. Additionally, approximately ten cars suffered damage.
The displaced families have sought refuge with neighbours while awaiting heavy machinery to begin cleanup efforts.
Locals report that heavy rain began yesterday at 6:00 p.m., triggering the mudslide that led to the destruction of auxiliary structures, fences, and the invasion of homes.
The disaster has also impacted residents in the village of Shoka, where the GPB First Channel camera crew is currently heading to document the aftermath.
