Direct flights to Venice have been introduced at Kutaisi International Airport, beginning December 2. Wizz Air now operates the Venice-Kutaisi-Venice route twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using an Airbus A321neo aircraft.

According to the Georgian Airports Association (GAA), 340 passengers were on board the inaugural Venice-Kutaisi-Venice flight.

“Passengers arriving on the first flight from Venice received a warm welcome at Kutaisi David Agmashenebeli International Airport, organised by the Georgian Airports Association. As part of the celebration, guests were greeted by Levan Moseshvili, Director General of the Georgian Airports Association, and Mari Davidze, Head of the Imereti Destination Management Organisation. The first-flight passengers were presented with symbolic gifts from the Georgian Airports Association,” the organisation stated.
