The Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, and the Head of the Georgia-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group, Beka Odisharia held a meeting with the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and deliberated on the situation in the region and cooperation prospects between the two countries in various directions.
According to the Parliament’s press office, the parties dwelt on the aid provided by Georgia to the earthquake-hit population of Turkey.
“We discussed our further cooperation plans. We naturally touched upon the tragedy that Turkey encountered and the humanitarian aid and support that the Georgian Government has instantly provided. Our guests expressed their gratitude for our support and assistance. We also stressed the importance of stability in the region and overviewed our trade relations,” Odisharia noted.
