Diaspora and Caucasus Affairs Committee Chair meets Georgian Diaspora in Ireland
Chairman of the Georgian parliamentary Diaspora and Caucasus Affairs Committee, Beka Odisharia and the committee members Nodar Turdzeladze, Resan Kontselidze and Fridon Injia met representatives of the Georgian Diaspora within the working visit to Ireland.
Challenges facing Georgian Diasporas abroad were discussed at the meeting. The participant accentuated the role of Diasporas in popularization of the country.
Beka Odisharia underscored that the government viewed the diaspora as the opportunity of vast potential to contribute to strengthening and development of Georgia.
“The Georgian diaspora is an integral part of the Georgian state, the government is actively trying to use the opportunities of our diaspora as much as possible,” said Beka Odisharia.
Georgian Ambassador to Ireland Giorgi Zurabishvili and the embassy representatives attended the meeting.
