Deputy Speaker meets U.S. House of Representatives staff delegation

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Nino Tsilosani met with a delegation of staff members from the U.S. House of Representatives who are visiting Georgia.

According to the Parliament’s press service, the meeting focused on issues of bilateral cooperation.

“At a time when our Western partners are receiving a great deal of disinformation, this meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss a range of important issues. Given the format, it was not possible to address every detail, but we hope that the information we shared was essential and will be taken into account in their future decisions.” Tsilosani said after the meeting.

Tsilosani noted that the parties agreed on the importance of continued bilateral cooperation and mutual visits.

“We hope that in the near future the Georgian side will visit the United States, which will allow us to discuss ways to improve Georgian-American relations with members of Congress and the Senate and to reset our relations,” she stated.
