Deputy Speaker expresses gratitude for Azerbaijan's support of Georgia's European integration
Archil Talakvadze, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, said that the Georgian parliamentary delegation will have crucial meetings in Azerbaijan.
Talakvadze highlighted the importance of the official delegation’s visit, led by the Speaker of the Parliament, as it includes essential meetings with strategic partners, the chairman of the Azerbaijani parliament, and the head of the friendship group. The delegation also anticipates meeting with President Ilham Aliyev.
“We are grateful for Azerbaijan’s strong support for Georgia’s European integration. This support followed the longstanding relations and friendship between our countries and governments. Georgia, in turn, is prepared to play a significant role in supporting peace and security in the region. Our focus is on the future and the plans necessary for the well-being of our region and countries. We anticipate a visit to Azerbaijan will be positive and fruitful,” stated Archil Talakvadze.
The Georgian parliamentary delegation, led by Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, is visiting Azerbaijan. The delegation comprises Vice-Speaker Archil Talakvadze, deputy chair of the Georgian Dream faction Greta Tsitsava, the ruling party MPs Savalan Mirzoev, Zaur Dargali, and the United National Movement – Unified Opposition faction member Ramaz Nikolaishvili.
