Deputy Minister of Economy: Government approves National Road Safety Strategy for 2026–2030

The government of Georgia approved the National Road Safety Strategy for 2026–2030, which aims to reduce the number of casualties and injuries in road accidents by 25 per cent by 2030, Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, announced.

According to Ioseliani, the strategy aims to improve the situation on roads and bring it in compliance with international standards.

“The strategy is significant to improve road safety and implement new systems to improve the situation and bring it in compliance with international standards to reduce the number of casualties and injuries in road accidents by 25 per cent. We are focusing on measures to reduce speed, and it is also important to ensure the safety of minors on Georgia’s roads,” she said.
