Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Darakhvelidze hosted a delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe as part of their pre-election visit.
During the meeting, they discussed current events, particularly the upcoming parliamentary elections in Georgia. The Deputy Minister provided comprehensive details about the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ plans to ensure the elections are conducted freely, democratically, and securely.
He also addressed ongoing and planned reforms aimed at retraining police officers to fulfil their responsibilities during the elections effectively.
Throughout their visit, members of the Parliamentary Assembly delegation meet with representatives of Georgia’s legislative and executive branches.
