Deputy FM: Georgia ready to provide full information to Moscow Mechanism expert

Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Lasha Darsalia said an expert will arrive in Georgia in the near future as part of the OSCE’s Moscow Mechanism.

According to Darsalia, the Georgian side will provide the expert with all necessary information.

“As you know, the so-called Moscow Mechanism was launched at the request of several OSCE participating states. Accordingly, one expert was selected from the ODIHR’s pre-approved list and will visit Georgia in the near future. During the visit, the Georgian side will provide all the necessary information. We will wait for the document prepared by the expert and, if necessary, make additional comments,” Darsalia said.

For reference, on January 29, 24 OSCE member states invoked the Moscow Mechanism on Georgia and requested the establishment of an expert mission.

The OSCE website also announced that the Moscow Mechanism expert mission to Georgia will begin its work on February 11.
