Deputy Economy Minister: Exports surge 4.1% to record USD 4.8 billion
Exports rose by 4.1% from January to September, reaching a record USD 4.8 billion, announced Vakhtang Tsintsadze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, citing preliminary data from the National Statistics Service (GeoStat).
Tsintsadze emphasized that this increase reflects heightened activity in both the business and private sectors, providing grounds for an optimistic outlook.
He added that the government is committed to enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises through various support programs, facilitating free trade with many countries, including EU members, China, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates, which collectively represent markets worth 2-3 billion.
“We will actively promote market liberalization while expanding state support programs for small and medium-sized businesses,” he stated.
