Deputy Economy Minister of Georgia, Irakli Nadareishvili took part in a panel discussion held within the framework of the OECD Eurasia Week 2023, aiming to identify potential solutions and pathways for co-operation on such issues as digitalisation, entrepreneurship, skills, the green transition, and connectivity in the Eurasian countries.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister focused on the Middle Corridor, saying “Georgia’s unique location gives significant advantages to the Middle Corridor as a regional logistics and transit hub.”
The deputy minister focused on large-scale projects, including the Anaklia deep sea port project, “which aims to make the port’s minimum capacity 650,000 TEU by 2030.” He stated that the project would “significantly” increase Georgia’s maritime capabilities.
“We are also intensively considering digitalisation as it creates innovative ways to collaborate – digital platforms make processes flexible,” he added.
