Delegation of European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Security and Defence to visit Georgia

A delegation of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence of the European Parliament will travel to Georgia from 10 to 14 April.

MEPs will assess the possible implications of Russia’s war against Ukraine for the country and express their solidarity and support for the country’s territorial integrity.
MEPs will meet the Georgian President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Parliament and the Minister of Defence.

They also intend to pay two field visits to the Administrative Boundary Lines in the breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Members of the delegation are Nathalie Loiseau, Chair of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence and the Head of the delegation, Lukas Mandl (EPP, Austria), (S&D, Lithuania), Elena Yoncheva (S&D, Bulgaria), Lars Patrick Berg (ECR, Germany).
