Defense Ministercelebrates New Year 2026 with military personnel

The Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, celebrated the New Year 2026 with military personnel.

Together with the Commander of the Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili, the Minister visited the 6th Artillery Brigade base in Khoni.

Irakli Chikovani and Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili congratulated the personnel of all Defense Forces units on the New Year via video conference.

The Minister thanked the military personnel for their dedicated service, emphasizing that their loyalty, professionalism, and commitment are invaluable to the country’s development. He wished them well-being, a peaceful future, and success in serving Georgia.

From the Khoni base, Irakli Chikovani also extended New Year’s greetings to the citizens of Georgia, particularly those who welcomed the New Year while on duty due to their professional responsibilities. He wished health, strength, and unity to the employees of the State Security Service, police officers, border guards, firefighters, and medical workers.
