Irakli Chikovani, the Georgian Defense Minister candidate, denied claims of Georgia not supporting Ukraine, calling it disinformation.

Chikovani pointed out more than ten resolutions where Georgia unequivocally supports Ukraine, emphasizing that there hasn’t been a single topic on which Georgia did not provide support.

Responding to questions from opposition MP Khatia Dekanoidze, Chikovani stated: “There are over ten resolutions where Georgia has clearly expressed support. In the instance of a resolution addressing the issue of Ukrainian children illegally transported from occupied territories, the Georgian delegation was absent during the vote. However, during a recent visit to Strasbourg, our delegation supported a resolution with identical content. Not a single topic has lacked support from Georgia, and our stance has remained clear and unwavering from the outset.”
