Defense Minister meets new head of NATO Liaison Office

Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze hosted Alexander Vinnikov, newly-appointed Head of NATO Liaison Office.

Juansher Burchuladze congratulated Alexander Vinnikov with his appointment and wished him every success at the introductory meeting on Tuesday.

The sides discussed NATO-Georgia relations, challenges and threats facing the country, the regional security issues and current developments in Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the importance of deepening NATO-Georgia cooperation, strengthening NATO’s role in the Black Sea region and modernizing the Georgian Defense Forces.
