One day of the Anaklia Youth Camp was dedicated to military-themed activities, with servicemen from the Second Infantry Brigade of the Georgian Defense Forces’ Western Command visiting the camp and delivering a presentation on the Georgian Armed Forces to students.

According to Georgia’s Ministry of Defense, the young participants received detailed information about the history of the Defense Forces, military training, national heroes of Georgia, military education and opportunities for career development.

The servicemen also briefed the students on the conditions and benefits of the National Military Service for conscripts. The meeting was held in a question-and-answer format.

Later, the students viewed military equipment, weapons and other military gear displayed on the camp grounds. They were also given an opportunity to learn about the tactical specifications of the equipment and receive additional information on topics of interest.

“Youth camps are organized by the Youth Agency, a legal entity of public law under the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia. As part of each camp rotation, one day is dedicated to meetings with representatives of the Defense Forces.

“The project aims to provide the younger generation with opportunities for active recreation, promote a healthy lifestyle and strengthen patriotic spirit,” the ministry said.
