Defence Minister meets Turkiye Ambassador

Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani met Turkiye Ambassador to Georgia Ali Kaan Orbai.

The Ambassador congratulated Irakli Chikovani on the appointment and wished him success. The sides spoke about the Georgia-Turkiye strategic partnership, cooperation in the defence sphere, and regional security threats.

The Defence Minister stressed Turkiye’s contribution to the NATO-Georgia Substantial Package (SNGP) implementation.

Defence Attaché of the Republic of Turkiye, Colonel Ilhan Oktendural and the Third Secretary, Sultan Al Lail, attended the meeting.
