Defence Minister hosts Italian Ambassador

Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani held an introductory meeting with the Italian Ambassador, Massimiliano D’Antuono, and his deputy, Fabiola Albanes.

Chikovani thanked the Italian side for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

According to the ministry’s press office, the parties discussed the successful defense cooperation. The parties focused on the importance of high-level visits and joint participation in international drills.

The officials also stressed Italy’s significant contribution to the successful implementation of the NATO-Georgia Essential Package (SNGP).
