Defence Minister attends Eurosatory 2026 International Defence and Security Exhibition during his visit to France
As part of his official visit to the French Republic, Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Irakli Chikovani, attended the international defence and security exhibition, Eurosatory 2026.
Irakli Chikovani is attending the Eurosatory 2026 military exhibition at the personal invitation of his French counterpart, Catherine Vautrin, the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans of the French Republic.
“The military exhibition is hosted by the French capital every two years. Its objective is to introduce innovative military technologies, weaponry, and equipment systems to government and civil sector officials, high-ranking officials, and defence and security industry specialists, while strengthening international cooperation.
This year, the international exhibition is being hosted in Paris. Eurosatory 2026 is dedicated to highly topical subjects, including cyber defence, artificial intelligence, long-range remote combat, crisis and natural disaster management, and the protection of critical infrastructure,” the Ministry of Defence of Georgia released the details regarding the event.
During the visit, Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani held a bilateral meeting with his French counterpart, Catherine Vautrin.
The Minister is accompanied on his visit to France by the Deputy Chief of the Georgian Defence Forces and Head of the General Staff, Major General Joni Tatunashvili.
