Chairman of the Georgian parliamentary Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Beraia met NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence and Security, David Cattler.
The Committee Chairman thanked NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for support of Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration aspiration.
The sides discussed Russia’s military intervention in Ukraine, threats facing Georgia and the region, security and foreign policy priorities.
Irakli Beraia stressed the need to expedite Georgia’s accession to NATO. Deputy Chairmen of the Committee Aleksandre Tabatadze and Vladimer Chachibaia attended the meeting.
